The Vatican’s liturgy chief says Vatican II was sound on how the Mass should be conducted, but that following the Council the Church has experienced “devastation, destruction and wars” not only in liturgical reforms, but also in doctrine, morals, and Church discipline — all the results of inappropriate innovations.
