Nihilism, ideology, or faith
Fr. Dwight Longenecker
Friday, May 18, 2018
This are the three options most will face. Not many are truly nihilists, but more and more are ideologies. An ideology is any belief system which is adhered to unquestioningly and provides the matrix through which everything else is perceived and understood. There is little the ideologue hates more than faith because faith is subversive. It challenges the set beliefs and expected behaviors and calls the person out to do something far more adventurous.
