I work with couples who are getting ready to be married in the Church. Most of them are openly contemptious of any discussion about NFP, or that they are promising to be "open" to the gift of children. Go to Mass every Sunday? You must be crazy! Obey the Pope?? They "make their own decisions about what to believe." I do have the sympathize with the post by "Catholic". My wife and I found out shortly after were married that we would never be able to have biological children. We have never contracepted! We even used to NFP to try to get pregneant. However, we will never have a large family. Mostly they have no clue about the Catholic Church, sadly neither do some Catholics. One would hope the people who occupy this church building are praying daily; the rosary. Our lady in her msgs. to us always said, prayer, penance. This will change things. One could point out our failings ad nauseum, we are all guilty. Pray, do acts of penace. We fall down, we get up. They always assume everyone is just like them. Therefore, anyone who has less than 4 children must be contracepting! There is certainly no other option. It looks like you tried to not "point fingers," but I would be very cautious about bringing up an innocent person by name and then talking about sexuality issues. Sometimes I can't tell what this site's intended audience is, so it's hard to criticize 'gray areas' like that. You're prob fine, I just care a lot about this site.
