Our interest in setting straight those confused by Dan Brown, which is considerable, is still as nothing compared to our interest in "setting straight" those WITHIN the clergy who are trying to fasten the Church to the regnant establishment.

We have VAST segments within our clergy who long to espouse the bride of Christ to the Democrat party, their foreign and domestic agenda, the international liberal intelligentsia and all those across the world pushing a "new world order." - Dan

No offense intended, Mr. Miner. It is just that in a week in which the Pope is savaged in Israel for not saying "Nazis", "Germans" or "Six"(million), when he calls for a separate State for Palestine, when two American Jews have espionage charges dropped against them (NOT because they are not guilty) and the media (except the NY Times) doesn't even mention it, I would think there are plenty of subjects for Catholics to review and discuss which have an immediate impact on us. Thank you. - William H. Phelan

True story?

Mr. Phelan: Interesting. Can't say I grasp the point of the comment in this context, except, I guess, to chastise me for not writing about what you think is important. - Brad Miner

Mr. Miner??? Would you like a true Catholic story? Lawrence Franklin, a Catholic who is a high ranking U.S. Govt. employee, is serving 12 years in a Federal prison for passing intelligence to Messrs Rosen and Weissman, formerly of AIPAC, who were scheduled to be tried for espionage next month. They were told just before the big AIPAC Dinner, which over half the Congress attended, that the charges would be dropped. The truth is more important than tilting at windmills. - William H.
I saw the R. Howard interview on the Colbert Report the other night. What a hoot! Colbert had him shaken from the start - being greeted with"Dominus vobiscum," Howard had no clue how to respond. My hard earned money will go to see Star Trek again. - Joe
