Trust a Legionaire?

Pardon me for being impolite, but how can I read a Legion priest talk about "trust" when his order is grounded in a "Method" of intentional gullibility created by a predatory Judas-priest? The institutions of the Church, both diocesan and religious, have abused our trust more thoroughly than any bank or spouse. I'm not sure how a column can address the issue, but at least some recognition that it's not just "society" that lets us down -- and it is incorrigible Catholic structures as well. - John M.

The Last Hope

Father, a poignant piece for our times. This crisis of trust has caused us to wander daily in a cloud of despondency. The atheist would say that no God would allow these things to happen. But then we caused these things not Him. Perhaps, instead of continuing our ways in self absorption and greed, if we try to pray more to this God we will recapture our lost faith in God, ourselves and mankind. Can God be trusted? I don\'t know, but we better find out. In this endeavor, we have nothing to loose. - Willie
