It says in Scripture, "Take care lest anyone steal your crown...." Commenting on this a Father of the Church observed that if one cannot obtain a crown unless he "steals" one, then it is obvious that the number of crowns is limited. I thought of that passage and comment when I read about the explosion of converts in Mexico after the appearance of Our Lady of Guadalupe, for just at that time the people of northern Europe were giving up the faith. Now that so many people in Europe and the United States are giving up their faith, there is an explosion of converts in Africa and Asia. So you could say there is a huge wealth transfer taking place, as we export even our eternal destinies.
