The essence of man is not distinguished from animal when based on choice, which in turn on feelings, senses and insticts. It is rational reason that separates the two.

Pople Benedict XVI is the star on Jesus and his reasoning is purifies Jesus from the Church among the Scribes and Pharisees.. - Pete

Thank you, Fr. Schall,

Where there is no Truth, there can be no trust, and where there is no trust, there can be only chaos.

Belloc lists the attack on "the Good, the Beautiful, and the True' as a hallmark of the heresy that he calls "The Modern Phase." And we are certainly living in that time, aren't we. I am reminded of a horrifying scene, perhaps it was in "The Phantom of the Opera", where a man is caught in a circular room with only mirrors on the wall, and he doesn't know which mirror is attached to the door, so he doesn't know how to get out. it is really quite terrifying to watch. - Louise

Thank you, Father Schall, for reminding us that this - the elemental foundation of all God's creations - should be #1 on the endangered species list. - Dave Pezzini

As long as there are teachers teaching the truth, there will be students learning the truth. As long as there are writers writing the truth, there will be people reading the truth. Thank you Father Schall for your work in these important endeavors. You are in my prayers. - Ray Hunkins

Thank you, Father Schall. Beyond politics, does not the Magisterium continuously need to make explicit that Catholic doctrine is objectively true? Is that not a requirement of evangelization and catechesis in the dictatorship of relativism? For example, the new theology curriculum that the U. S. Bishops have promulgated for Catholic high schools nowhere requires students to be taught that the curriculum is objectively true. This omission not only fails to take on the dictatorship of relativism, but also gives room to manuever to the legion of relativists in "Catholic" high school faculties and administrations. - Anonymous please
