Belloc lists the attack on "the Good, the Beautiful, and the True' as a hallmark of the heresy that he calls "The Modern Phase." And we are certainly living in that time, aren't we. Beyond politics, does not the Magisterium continuously need to make explicit that Catholic doctrine is objectively true? Is that not a requirement of evangelization and catechesis in the dictatorship of relativism? For example, the new theology curriculum that the U. S. Bishops have promulgated for Catholic high schools nowhere requires students to be taught that the curriculum is objectively true.
