Re: The comment "What about...?"

Notwithstanding exceptions, the main thrust to deal with is that 99% of these 40% of NYC pregnancies are not connected to the crime of rape. - Chris in Maryland

Welcome to TCT Mr.Pfundstein! Great article, very thought provoking. I think I am going to have to check out that book by Anthony Esolen. I can't tell you how much I hope that these new engineers fail in their engineering. While I would wish this type of 'new reality' on no one, as a young person myself, I have a bad feeling that I will live to see this kind of reality "made flesh" in my time. Not something im really looking forward too. - Aeneas

A recent news report stated that slightly more than 40% of all pregnancies in NYC end in abortion. The silence from the progressive ranks is interesting and disturbing. The number seems to prove the connection between sex and procreation (in a backhanded manner) and also seems to show that abortion is used as a method of birth control. There was no breakdown by trimester, but it would be reasonable to assume that the abortions are distributed over the entire gestation period. Those who call themselves liberal should be doing a lot of soul searching. They might even find they have one. This is a grave matter and deserves serious discussion and respect. The law that leaps the sky resides in a living heart. The dead are content to bury the dead. - Other Joe

Greg,
Excellent article. You have, however, this phrase " In purporting to absolve the woman of the consequences of her actions..." What about rape? You need to address this problem. My personal opinion is that the child and the mother are innocent and neither should die. Perhaps the rapist should be executed?
I look forward to your response. - Dan Deeny
