Thank you for a great review of the movie. I'm a Catholic theology professor and I recently showed this movie to my students. Wow! Because of this movie, we were able to have a deep conversation about the personal and societal horror caused by pornography. My students learned so much from it that they would not be exposed to anywhere else. I heartily recommend that you share this movie with undergraduate and high school students. We can't ignore this darkness anymore.

Shelly Lubben is truly a blessing. Her story and faith are a powerful testament to the strength of God's forgiveness. Watching her story is like watching the conversion of Mary Magdalene.

Blessings to you all,
Matthew - Matthew

What a Divine Mercy testimony! Thank you dear Jesus, that You still seek out and save the Mary Magdalenes of our world. I am sure that along the path to Heaven, Shelly's Gentle Shepherd will reveal to her the sins she needs to ask forgiveness for as well as grant her the graces she needs to deeply forgive all those who have abused her. I know I will be washing her feet in Paradise for sure.....Love is Amazing, isn't He? - debby

This was a great article; and I especially like how the author, Mr. Ruse, brought up how Kinsey was basically a psychopath. Typically in colleges, this business with Kinsey is not brought up. Psychology professors often quote Kinsey, but do not state how he obtained his data. Information about his deviant behavior as a "scientist" needs to be better known by the public.

But I take exemption with the second to the last paragraph. In order to commit a sin, one must have a sufficient reflection where (1) you know it is a sin, and you know (2) its moral gravity. Maybe no one taught Miss Lubben how to use her sexuality appropriately, and so she may not have sufficient reflection. And also, she might not have free will, since free will presupposes the capacity to make an alternate choice. We simply do not know all the facts in this area concerning Miss Lubben as well as her psychological make-up. Maybe she doesn't have moral responsibility!

Yes, we live in the age of victimization where many only focus on the bad things people have done to them, and ignore their own bad behavior. But if no one taught her how to control her sexuality, then my INTUITION tells she clearly IS a victim. She might not have known how to respond to other people's bad behavior. A big problem among us Catholics today is not giving other people the benefit of the doubt. Maybe that paragraph could have been omitted, and have the article focus on the positive aspects of Miss Lubben's message. - Patrick G.
