Inspiring account of a grass roots practicing Catholic. Nice to know that people such as Mike Long offer offer a positive Catholic example and image in contrast to that presented by Biden, Pelosi, Durbin, Sebelius, the Cuomo's, the Kennedy's, et al. How did the Democrat Party grow so far away from its Catholic constituents and their values? Why do Catholics still support it? - Seanache

As long as there is free will, there will be evil. Since that is true, all we can do on earth is fight the good fight. It's not about winning as much as standing for right and against wrong. Sometimes our limitations are such that those of goodwill may disagree, but not about partial birth abortion and not about the importance of family. Interesting that people are afraid that Silver would go after Catholic hospitals - that's how far down the totalitarian road we have already gone. Quite chilling really. - Other Joe
