what GREAT TRUTH here in this little post! thank you, michael. thank you, katie, for your life. thank you, katie's parents for giving us, the whole world, her with all simplicity! i love how Jesus tells us to inherit the Kingdom you Must become.....a great theologian? soldier/warrior? scholar? businessman? wise-man? success? beautiful? blah, blah? no! a child! a child who held no position in Jewish/Roman culture and society in His time. as a child. the older in years i become, the more i "learn," the more i pray and behold our Lord, the more i must bend my heart to embrace the unknown and live in abandon and trust. to be like Katie.
God Almighty shines through these little ones, these eyes, these hearts who lead us to Him. Lead on! - debby

Thank you for your wise and beautiful column, Mr. Coren. We have a 31 year old autistic son who has lived his whole life with us, and I too can attest how much he brings to our family. My wife and I are recent converts to Catholicism (Easter 2005), and one of our greatest joys is to be with Christopher at the altar as he receives the Body and Blood. We ask him why he loves St. Peter in Monument, CO, and he says, "because it has all that stuff," by which he means the Gloria, the Alleluia, the Lamb of God, the Memorial Acclimation, the Communion, etc. What a joy to see his face as he receives! - Jan Dennis
