So now the scientists working with adult stem cells have successfully found a number of applications, many cures. Those who work with embryonic stem cells on humans have some petri dish applications, but no demonstrated uses in living human beings. Is God telling us something?

I remember this period, because I had started listening to Imus in the Morning on the radio, and Imus was amazingly thoughtful about it, not like his usual DJ oafishness. I am glad the president's conclusions have been fruitful. - X Contra

Thank you, Austin, for this very fine article. You've presented President Bush at one of his finest moments. We fear, of course, that the discourse on stem cell research has fallen off the radar because the current Administration fully supports the destruction of embryos for their stem cells, as part of its pro-abortion ethic. One doesn't hear much because those doing the work, sponsoring it, and supporting it, want to keep it all under the radar. Is there evidence that suggests this fear is unfounded?
