			<description>I think it\'s a mistake to characterize the ancient philosophers\' view of God as some kind of loving contemplation of a beneficent or benevolent father. In actuality, their response to their restricted vision of God was akin to the Muslim\'s: awe, in the face of what remained for them an inscrutable power.
