Hm. I knew nothing of Robert Bork's involvement in Watergate. On its face, it seems very disappointing. Anyone care to set the record straight about what he did and did not do? - Jeff Stevens

Dear Professor Ruse:

Is there, possibly, a God- created irony here? The Kennedy who led the charge against Bork\'s nomination and who in recent years would have nothing of the Magisterium concerning abortion in public politics, was indirectly responsible for Bork\'s entering the One Holy Catholic Church the teachings of which, we may safely assume, the former atheist and honorable jurist joyfully accepts.

I think opening your site to comments will be a mistake. It will diminish it\'s stature and turn it into a sounding board. It should remain a good source of orthodox (small o) Catholic journalism. You and those who publish here are scholars, professionals, and clergy. Those who will be making comments are not.

Thanks - Peter
