Someone on another site was wondering how people like the Kennedys could remain Catholic while clearly despising the Church\'s teachings. My answer was that they did so because they thought (mistakenly) that the Church\'s social teachings were a validation and recognition of their Marxist creed, while the rest was more or less \"inauthentic.\" Your distinction between \"common good\" and \"collective good\" would have helped immensely in explaining what I meant. - James the Least

First, let me qualify myself:

I\\\\\\\'m an Catholic.
I\\\\\\\'m Pro-Life
I\\\\\\\'m a registered Democrat but vote my conscious.
I have yet to commit to either candidate.
I am fully aware of the Democrat\\\\\\\'s position on abortion.

I abhor rhetoric like \\\\\\\"Democrats are disingenuously\\\\\\\", I fully trust both candidates are honest forthright individuals who firmly believe there positions are the right direction for the country.

We as Catholics must discern which candidate is best on ALL the issues combi - Peter Gariepy
