Thank you very much Father for this useful teaching. I thank God for His Church, and for the blessing of this beautiful Congrégation : OMI. I've just read Mgr Fallaize's incredible life and super-natural works in Canada. The holiness isn't noisy and it builds the Mystical Body ... - mjo

Louise, confession builds on the fact that we already apologize to other people. We are in a powerfully interpersonal culture that is something that we are created for by a God who in a sense is interpersonal too. Also the things that we discover as we put our offenses into words should help us with our spiritual life, indicating what we pray for and what graces we need. Glad to see that you take the difficulty seriously. - Fr. Bramwell

Louise. You're not alone. I feel the same way. I have great anxiety preparing for confession since my youth. I think we speak for many. But it's the true teaching
of the Church and what makes us Catholic. It gets better each time and there is not better feeling to hear those holy words of forgiveness, it's allmost euphoric!
So go often and conuinue to pray for God's grace. It's the only way to go.
God bless. - john kelsey

Father,i have to admit that I have always hated to go to confession. Maybe hate is too strong a word but i'm just not crazy about going. Don't get me wrong...i go regularly but it doesn't get any easier. And I really am grateful for the great grace that it is.
I've read your beautiful column over a few times and hope it sinks in and helps! I would be curious to know if I am an anomaly in this regard... - Louise
