ODE TO SAINT JOSEPH, MARY's Spouse and Jesus' Fosterfather

Joseph, humble, silent vase
of splendor and abundant grace
protector, defender of our Lord
as a strong and flaming sword

Joseph, most just, most pure
what no man could ever ensure
guardian of the holy house
stronghold of your Holy Spouse

Joseph, treasurer of the Heavenly King
for Whom the angels in adoration sing
so underestimated in the world's eyes
with whom you never did compromise

Joseph, without titles behind your name
you never sought perishable fame
you were an honest simple worker
envied and attacked by the evil lurker

Joseph, example of husband and father
you never thought of yourself, but rather
in obedience to God, with love and humility
you shouldered the caring responsibility

Joseph, assist us in our daily tasks
never forsake us nor the one who asks
to be non-judgmental and steadfast
to obtain those virtues of yours at last.

On this day in 1897,A beatiful Sister who was married to
The Lords last words "Oh i would not wish to have suffered
less...(then looking at her crucifix)O,I love him..my God
I love him."Saint therese Our little flowers last words.
Despite her "Dark Night" of the soul her "Marrige" to the
Lord was so STRONG.I have always felt as a married man that
"Sacrifice" is so important.
Saint Therese also said"Love is nourished only by sacrifice
and the more a soul sacrifices, the stronger and more
disinterested becomes her tenderness."
I see this relevent to "OUR GIVE ME SOCIETY" as opposed to
sacrifice for the love of our "Spouses.
I love my wife and I only need to think back to when our
first coffee table was a "Card Board Box" we had "Love".
We have worked hard and have made it as it is easy to forget
"those days".
I have such a hard time time with "Redefining" Marriage>
What would Saint Joseph say?
I am all for people loving who ever they want, but we MUST
NOT redifine the FAMILY!
As i shared my reflection back twenty years ago i can see
others living it today, and i would not have changed a thing
"sacrifice" has made our "Family" strong, and we apreciate
all we have all the more, but we MUST keep the foundation
between "ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN" and this should remain
the bedrock of our society,is anything sacred anymore?
As i share some of my eary years of marriage i think
of all the new young familys i respect all the diversity
of a society but lets leave "Marriage and LIFE" as our
NON NEGOTIABLES!
               Jack
God Bless ST Therese on this day on 1897,May she shower
You with her love as she promised. - Jack,CT
