As God, Jesus knew every single thing that was going to happen to him as man, including the crucifixion. He voluntarily submitted to all of it, out of love for us. This is a fundamental part of the Catholic faith. It lessens the sensation of pleasure in adult males during copulation. Christians don't follow the dietary restrictions of the old Testament nor many other of its provisions. Jesus was subject to circumsision (again, he had not choice in the matter) because he was a Jew.
