If you commit some fault, do not get all worked up or make a big fuss about it; having acknowledged the fact that you have done something wrong, gently humble yourself before God and try to put your soul at rest, saying to yourself, “Ah, well! I have tripped but now I must walk slowly, watching my steps.” Every time you fall, do the same and when you fall frequently, even though in minor matters, try to make as many acts of love as you can, because Our Lord says, “If you can trust a man in little things, you can also trust him in greater.”
