We believe what happened in Arizona points to the need for national leadership to craft a comprehensive reform bill that will protect the dignity of the human person while preserving the integrity and security of its borders and enforcing just immigration laws. We call upon our elected representatives to act quickly, recognizing that immigration reform is about the human rights of people who are seeking a better life for themselves and their families while permitting them to contribute to the economic, social, and moral strength of this country.
