Pope Francis will receive Russian President Putin in private audience today. The Russian leader hopes a “whole range of bilateral ties” will be discussed, as well as “topical international issues,” in particular, “the situation in Ukraine, with the focus on interreligious relations and the activity of Ukraine’s Catholics.”
