As we have reached the point of needing another Benedict, God has raised up precisely that – another Benedict who has prophetically led the Church at a crucial time. That Benedict chose the former Benedict as the patron of his Pontificate only strengthens this claim and provides a helpful context for many of the key characteristics of Pope Benedict’s legacy.
