Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Vatican secretary of state, who will accompany the pope to Cuba, the USA, and the UN, said immigration will be a main topic of the pope’s speeches, along with greater freedom for the people of Cuba and a global call for an “integral ecology,” safeguarding all of creation, including the sanctity and dignity of human life.
