Does Francis want secular or Christian humanism?

Pope Francis’ recent address when receiving the Charlemagne Prize is not a particularly strong support for the notion that the Church is “keeping its game up,” and offers little evidence that that Church still effectively supports a Christian humanism as the key to the European Union ’s future. Except for one brief paragraph, the speech could have been written by a good secular humanist.
