Pope Francis will become the first pope to meet the spiritual leader of the world’s Sunni Muslims at the Vatican on Monday. Sheik Ahmed el-Tayeb, the grand imam of Cairo’s Al-Azhar, the most prestigious institution in Sunni Islam, will have the unprecedented private audience with the Holy Father after he received an invitation from the Vatican in February.
