Bishop criticizes Kaine’s Catholicism
Tim Kaine calls himself a “Pope Francis Catholic,” but, as Bishop Thomas J. Tobin of Providence, Rhode Island notes, the vice-presidential candidate “publicly supports . . . abortion, same-sex marriage, gay adoptions, and the ordination of women as priests.” All are positions contrary to Catholic teaching, and “all . . . have been opposed by Pope Francis as well.”
