Father James Martin’s recent book Building a Bridge: How the Catholic Church and the LGBT Community Can Enter into a Relationship of Respect, Compassion and Sensitivity unfortunately does not go far enough in its respect, compassion and sensitivity to gays, lesbians and others with same-sex attractions. Or build a bridge in the right direction. Real love must lead all of us ultimately to the Kingdom of God.
