The Jesuit author of the new book that says homosexual people have not “received” Church teaching on perpetual celibacy. The noted canon lawyer quotes an old friend: “That’s not right. That’s not even wrong. I don’t know what that is.” Besides it’s easy for same-sex attracted people to marry: a lesbian, for instance — otherwise free of canonical impediments — is allowed to marry a similarly free man [1].
