A priest appointed by Pope Francis to the Pontifical Academy for Life has said that responsible parenting may obligate a married couple to use artificial birth control. Fr. Maurizio Chiodi made the remark at a conference reconsidering Humane Vitae ahead of the encyclical’s 50th anniversary.
