Many people today either seek to exonerate Judas (and Pontius Pilate) for their role in the Crucifixion or they sympathize with them, citing what they view as exculpatory evidence. This involves deeply flawed moral reasoning and violates theological truth by misrepresenting God as an agent of moral evil. [1]
