The Sexual Revolution freed men to act like irresponsible cads, with the result, as Mary Eberstadt explains, that the Revolution’s first assumption — that women are always and everywhere available for recreational sex — has come back to haunt feminism. Without the assumption of ubiquitous contraception, it would be impossible for so many men to try to take advantage of so many women.
