Cardinal Burke disputes pope’s claim

Responding to the pope’s assertion that he first learned of the four cardinals “dubia” letter from a newspaper article, Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke, one of the four, points out that another of the four, Cardinal Carlo Caffarra, “personally delivered the letter containing the  ^[1]dubia to the Papal Residence, and at the same time to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, on September 19, 2016 . . .”
