Kavanaugh grew up in Bethesda and attended Georgetown Preparatory School, the same Jesuit high school as Neil Gorsuch. He is an observant Catholic, regularly attending church at The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Northwest Washington with his wife and two daughters.
