In an interview with a Dutch newspaper, Cardinal Gerhard Müller, former CDF head, said he is “now simply a cardinal without a specific assignment. That is somewhat unusual.” But he still worries about confusion in the Church. “The reason,” he says, “is that the relationship between the doctrine of the Church and the pastoral care for people in difficult situations is not clear.” [1]
