Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York and members of the state’s legislature whooped it up last month after passage of the most anti-life legislation in history. What the governor and political leaders in New York celebrated was a bill that permits non-doctors to perform abortions and allows abortions literally until birth. To shrink away from canonical penalties against Catholics who advocate this savagery unthinkable for Catholic institutions already battered by the clergy sexual-abuse crisis. [1]
