The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom has released its annual report on religious freedom (and repression) around the world. Among many repressive nations in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, China has been particularly pernicious toward religion and religious believers during the last 20 years— and increasingly so most recently, including in 2018.
