The junior senator from New York says pro-life efforts to protect unborn babies, such a Georgia’s recent anti-abortion law, are “against Christian faith.” That seems hard to accept, since both the Bible and tradition condemn abortion. As Tertullian wrote:  “We may not destroy even the foetus in the womb . . . Nor does it matter whether you take away the life that is born or destroy the one that is coming to birth.”
