John Paul the Great deeply admired what America’s Founding Fathers accomplished, and he expressed that admiration a number of times, including on U.S. soil. Two occasions particularly stand out: his visits to the United States in October 1979 and September 1987. And of all world leaders with whom he met, none impressed him as much as Ronald Reagan.
