Pope Francis Thursday appointed Matteo Bruni director of the Holy See Press Office, effective July 22. No vice director was named. Bruni replaces Alessandro Gisotti, who has been serving as director ad interimafter the resignations of Greg Burke and Paloma Garcia Ovejero at the end of 2018. [1]
