Three cardinals rebuff Amazon Synod

Robert Sarah of Guinea, Raymond Burke of the U.S., and Jorge Urosa Savino of Venezuela, each in his own way, have critiqued the upcoming synod’s instrumentum laboris. Cardinal Sarah, the only one of the three who will participate in the synod, decries its “recognition of diverse forms of paganism and their ritual practices . . .”
