In 1994, the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments issued Varietates Legitimae as a way to properly understand liturgical inculturation — the process by which Catholic liturgy is brought to diverse cultures. Applying this document to the Amazon region may be the best outcome from the current Synod. [1]
