Last week, Local civil authorities raided the chancery of the Diocese of Orán, where Gustavo Oscar Zanchetta was bishop from 2013 to 2017. Bishop Zanchetta has been charged with sexual assault, as well as fraud and mismanagement of funds. Despite those charges, he was transferred to Rome, where Pope Francis created a special job for him until he was recently dismissed.
