Nearing Advent, Sundays have featured the Four Last Things: Death, Judgment, Heaven, and Hell, and in the last Gospel reading in Ordinary Time, we are reminded that we will one day have to account for our use of the gifts and resources that God has given us, and the key to wise use of those gifts is the fear of God.
