Yesterday, 197 House Republicans sent a letter to House and Senate leaders of both parties, in support of the Hyde Amendment and other pro-life “riders” that are attached to federal budget bills, prohibiting funding of abortions. However, there are no pro-life Democrats in the House and only one in the Senate, so it’s unlikely the Hyde Amendment will survive.
