My contention is this, that a lot of philosophical debates among Christians might be avoided by agreeing on the necessary (if insufficient) importance of basing our life together explicitly on the Ten Commandments, as we did in our country up until the upheavals of the Sixties. We could then dispense as moot many endless, tiresome wrangles. [1]
