A recent report on the persecution of Christians by Aid to the Church in Need makes clear how dangerous it is to be Christian in parts of some African nations, especially in the region of Lake Chad, a vast area between Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso in what’s known as the Sahel. It would be well for the Vatican to take note of it in its outreach to Islam. [1]
