Sixty Catholic Democrats recently “solemnly urge[d]” the bishops “to not move forward and deny [lawmakers] this most holy of all sacraments” over one issue [promotion of abortion]. The Archbishop writes: “I ask each representative who signed this letter to commit to protecting [unborn children]. Abortion is the axe laid to the roots of the tree of human life.”
