A group of American missionaries kidnapped on Saturday are being held by a notorious Haitian gang, 400 Mawozo. The U.S. nationals (and one Canadian) were visiting an orphanage on Saturday. Five children are also being held. The gang had kidnapped five Catholic priests and two nuns earlier this year near the site of Saturday’s abduction. Those victims were eventually released.
