The rise of un-registered Catholics

In a new survey of the state of Catholicism in the U.S., The Pillar finds that, overall, 43 percent of Catholics said they are registered in a parish. Among those who go to Mass at least weekly, that number was 69 percent. And among weekly Mass-goers there’s a stark age divide: 74 percent of those born from 1950 to 1989 are registered in a parish, while only 45 percent of weekly Mass goers born since 1990 are.
