A former Catholic priest, Michael Reading, who previously alleged that Theodore McCarrick sexually abused him when he was a seminarian has filed a lawsuit against McCarrick and the Newark archdiocese. His new suit has arisen because Cardinal Joseph Tobin of Newark never responded to his pleas for justice. “I’m just very disappointed that I never heard anything and got no response from the Church.”
